Hildur is a multi-faceted, rising female pop star from the tiny (yet magnanimous) island country of Iceland. Blending catchy lyrics and scandi-vibes with a powerful message, Hildur does not only use her electro pop to get people bumping their heads, but she also writes songs that also carry important message of female empowerment, self-courage and being true to oneself. Hildur’s latest single, “Picture Perfect,” debuted on at number six on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlists across the global, USA, Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Denmark platforms, and has amassed over one million streams. As Iceland’s rising pop star, Hildur is much more than just a singer. She is also a songwriter (top liner), lyricist and professionally trained classical cellist. Hildur released her first EP, Heart to Heart, in 2017 and is currently releasing singles of her next EP, Intuition, that will be out late spring 2019. Having already won Pop Song of the Year (“I’ll Walk With You”) at the Icelandic Music Awards in 2017 and nominated as Newcomer of the Year in the same year, she’s truly one to watch.
