Taste of Iceland in NYC: Shortfish Film Screening

The Icelandic film industry’s premier festival, Stockfish, is screening its short film program on September 28 at the Nitehawk Cinema as part of the Taste of Iceland in New York festival. The short film division of the Stockfish festival, aptly dubbed Shortfish, focuses on highlighting up-and-coming Icelandic filmmakers. The Shortfish screening at the Nitehawk Cinema will feature six short films, including Shortfish 2016 winner “Like it’s up to you” from director Brynhildur Þórarinsdóttir. Admission to the screening is free and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. The program will run for approximately 75 minutes. There are no age restrictions on these films, but they are not recommended for children. Admission to the free concert is granted on a first-come, first-served basis, so come early!

Following the screening, a short Q&A will be held with the director where the audience will have the opportunity to learn more about the film and the director’s inspiration.
