You Are In Control is an international conference that hosts innovative thought leaders representing a wide range of creative industries. The event takes place annually in the capital city of Reykjavik, where a network of international and local guests, experts and creative masterminds interact and inspire audiences and speakers alike.
Now in its seventh year, YAIC provides a collaborative space for experts across all of Iceland’s creative industries including design, visual arts, literature, music, media, films and gaming to interact and share their unique creative insight. The conference’s numerous talks, workshops and special events provide a cross-disciplinary platform, which spreads innovative and collaborative ideas.
The focus of YAIC 2014 is “creative synergy,” featuring projects and processes that involve unique and unexpected interactions across different disciplines. The conference provides the opportunity for boundary transcending collaborations, which achieve “a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.”
