Icelandic Provisions, the only line of traditional Icelandic skyr available in the U.S., is adding tropical key lime to their flavor line up this summer. Available in stores June 2017, key lime is the eighth flavor offered by the traditional skyr brand, joining the existing flavors like plain, vanilla, coconut, raspberry, key lime, strawberry with lingonberry, blueberry with bilberry, and peach with cloudberry.
Icelandic Provisions key lime skyr will offer consumers a true north-meets-south experience with sunny citrus and delightfully tart flavor notes mixed with their signature creamy skyr. The new flavor is a fresh summer treat boasting 15 grams of protein and 1.5% milk-fat, all while remaining naturally low in sugar.
“Adding key lime as our eighth flavor is a strategic move to bring a sunnier offering to our product range. As our first foray into the citrus arena, we think the tartness of key lime plays a nice foil to the creaminess of our skyr,” said Steve Platt, CEO of Icelandic Provisions. “As we’re seeing more and more Americans choosing Icelandic skyr over other yogurts, we want to give them a wider range of flavors to explore.”
