The Sónar festival comes to Reykjavik for the third time February 12-14, 2015. The International Festival of Advanced Music and New Media Art, Sónar began in Barcelona in 1994, and since has grown to include more than 50 events worldwide, adapting the sonar philosophy to unique venues and environments and highlighting the most interesting homegrown talent in the host city.
Sónar Reykjavik 2015 will be an experiment in how music can reach those who truly seek it and show that it’s not always the largest stage and biggest crowd that matters but also the unique performer-audience relationship that forms and the memories created. As always, the lineup will include both Icelandic and international bands, artists and DJs.
