Ring In 2014 With A Live Stream Of Iceland’s Fireworks Show!

*Click here to watch a rebroadcast of Reykjavik’s fireworks show!*

For the third year in a row, Iceland Naturally and Mila bring the spectacular Reykjavik fireworks show right into your home! At midnight Icelandic time on December 31, the entire population of Reykjavik (nearly 200,000 people!) will create a beautiful fireworks show in the Icelandic sky. Reykjavik’s massive fireworks display, made by the people, for the people, will be shared with the world on New Year’s Eve and into the New Year live online, right here at www.icelandnaturally.com.

There are no fireworks restrictions in Reykjavik, meaning anyone and everyone can participate in the colorful New Year celebration. The brilliant display is made even sweeter by the fact that the sale of Icelandic fireworks benefits a good cause. The booming beauties are primarily sold by the Icelandic Association for Search and Rescue (ICE-SAR) in order to raise funds for the courageous group of volunteers.

New Year’s Eve in Iceland is a lively celebration that includes many traditions. Festivities start with a family dinner, followed by bonfires (brenna), where family, friends and neighbors gather to enjoy the warm fire and celebrate with music. According to traditional Icelandic folklore, there are several magical traditions that happen on New Year’s Eve: cows talk, seals take on human form, the dead rise from their graves and elves move houses.

Start your new year with an Icelandic boom! Do not miss the massive fireworks display broadcasted live online here at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time / 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Click here to join the event on Facebook and be sure to tweet @IcelandNatural using the hashtag #ReykjavikNYE!
