The Reykjavik Jazz Festival is using the 20th anniversary to search for its roots by re-establishing contact with the Nordic countries as well as France, Austria and the USA – making this a truly international affair. Icelandic performers include pianist Agnar Már Magnússon, guitarist Björn Thoroddsen with Guitar Islancio, and pianist Sunna Gunnlaugsdóttir among many others. Performances take place at various venues throughout the capital. Visit the official website for up to date schedules, events and for information on the Jazz Pass. The Reykjavik Jazz Festival respectfully dedicates the final festival day to the memory of Charlie Parker.
