Featuring a wide range of dramas and non-fiction films from more than 40 countries, the 10th annual Reykjavik International Film Festival (RIFF) kicks off on September 26.
RIFF highlights independent filmmaking from all over the world, with an emphasis on up-and-coming filmmakers. RIFF encourages the interaction of film with other art forms by organizing concerts, photo exhibitions and more.
Founded in September 2004 by a small group of film professionals and film enthusiasts who hoped to present new and progressive quality films, the annual festival supports innovation in filmmaking, networking between professionals from various parts of the world, and fosters social and cultural dialogue.
The opening film at this year’s festival will be Robert Douglas’ This Is Sanlitun, a comedy set in China. Click here to see RIFF’s full 2013 schedule.
