As we near the end of 2016, Billboard has announced its annual Year in Rock Charts and named Kaleo as the Top New Rock Artist. The Icelandic band’s breakthrough hit “Way Down We Go” was listed as third on the Alternative Songs chart, and the single “No Good” also came in 42nd on this year’s Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
The four-member band has exploded on the music charts since the release of their debut international album “A/B” earlier this year. Kaleo first rose in popularity when they performed at the Iceland Airwaves music festival in 2012. Since then, the band has reached international status, and recently toured the US over the summer. They have also gone viral with music videos filmed around Iceland, such as this live performance shot inside a volcano!
