Jóhann Jóhannsson Nominated for his Second Golden Globe

The Arrival composer is nominated for Best Original Score.

Nominations for the 2017 Golden Globes were announced on December 12, and among the all-star list was Iceland’s very own Jóhann Jóhannsson. Receiving the nomination for Best Original Score for his work on Arrival, Jóhannsson will compete against the original scores of Moonlight, La La Land, Lion and Hidden Figures. The winner will be announced at the 74th annual Golden Globes Award Show, taking place on Jan. 8, 2017.

Jóhann Jóhannsson was previously nominated (and won!) the Golden Globe for Best Original Score for his work on The Theory of Everything in 2015. You can listen to Jóhannsson’s Golden Globe nominated score for Arrival below.
