Earlier this year, Inspired by Iceland asked its 100,000 Facebook fans to share their best secrets for an ultimate Icelandic Journey. The top 5 Icelandic secrets were:
Visit a secret geothermal waterfall in Hjalteyri in the North of Iceland.
Hire a car and drive the Snæfellsnes peninsula in West Iceland to experience the most magical glacier in the world.
Take a plunge and go sea swimming in Seyðisfjörður in the East. You might even come across the friendly international students of the Lunga Art School!
Catch your dinner. There are friendly fishermen all over Iceland who will take you on out on their boat for a small fee. Try Sandgerði for a shellfish feast.

Take in a play at the National Theatre, Harpa the modern concert hall or visit Fornbókabúðin at 53 Hverfisgata to experience some of the countries past.

Each day, the team took on a new region of Iceland, offering new experiences and giving Jennifer the opportunity to see what makes each area special and unique. Using knowledge from Icelanders, alongside secret tips from visitors from all over the world, the tour included everything from a trip to Lunga Art School in the East to exploring the deepest caves of the South.
The North of Iceland offered more adventures with skiing, superjeep tours and local sushi made from freshly caught Icelandic ingredients. In Reykjavik, the team visited the best restaurants and galleries and visited the local geothermal pools – which no trip to Iceland would be complete without!

The soundtrack to the film, titled ‘Color Decay,’ comes courtesy of talented young Icelandic singer/songwriter Júníus Meyvant. The song provides a rich, folk-like yet soulful feel, which adds to the authentic, energizing and joyful tone of the film.
