The 2009 Icelandic American Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Luncheon took place this fall in Washington, DC. Consul and Trade Commissioner Hlynur Guðjonsson opened the meeting and presented the IACC Annual Report and welcomed the Executive Vice President at Icelandic USA, Inc Daniel Murphy Jr., as the luncheons moderator. Iceland’s Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, Mrs. Katrín Júlíusdóttir, was the keynote speaker – She updated the Chamber on the latest developments in the country, the outlook of Iceland’s industries and political environment, as well as the current European Union application process.
