Award-winning, sustainably-sourced water brand Icelandic Glacial recently announced it’s expanding the availability of its natural spring water to thousands more convenience and grocery stores in the United States. Iceland has one of the world’s cleanest ecosystems, making it a prime location for sourcing the purest water possible. Icelandic Glacial is the world’s first water bottle brand to use 100% geothermal energy to power its factories. The water is bottled at Olfus Spring, a 5,000 year old famed Icelandic hot spring. The water at Oflus Spring has a natural alkaline pH of 8.4 and is replenished by melted ice, snow, and rain. The water is then naturally filtered, producing water so pure that nothing needs to be added or taken away. The brand strives to produce the most exceptional and environmentally-friendly bottled water possible, and does so by maintaining a “net zero” carbon footprint.
“It is exciting to rapidly grow our distribution across all channels to make our brand available to more consumers,” said Reza Mirza, CEO of Icelandic Glacial.
The addition of new grocery and convenience stores will include retailers like Shaw’s, Acme, Nugget Markets, Hy-Vee, Roundy’s, Mariano’s, Shop Rite, and G&M Oil, among others. Following the release of the brand’s new line of flavored sparkling waters, retailers such as Publix, Dierbergs, Lowes Foods, and MAPCO have also seen an increase in Icelandic Glacial products.
