Icelandic Blockbuster “RAMS” Makes Official North American Debut

The film will premiere in NYC on Feb. 3 and LA on Feb. 5.

Iceland film buffs take note: Iceland’s hit movie “RAMS” is coming to North America. The film will debut in New York City’s Lincoln Plaza and Film Forum on February 3. On February 5, “RAMS” hits Los Angeles for a premiere at the Laemmle Royal. Canadian film fans, don’t worry: you’ll have several chances to view the blockbuster beginning February 10.

“RAMS” is a tragicomedy that tells the story of two estranged Icelandic sheepherding brothers who haven’t spoken to each other in more than 40 years, despite living on neighboring farms. As tragedy strikes the area, the two must band together to protect what they both hold dear. The movie was submitted as a “Best Foreign Language Film” entry for the 2016 Academy Awards.
