Icelandic band KALEO has released a new video for their latest single “Break My Baby” from their recent album Surface Sounds.
KALEO is an Icelandic rock band that is taking the international music scene by storm with a trifecta of global hits. The band received a grammy nomination for their song “No Good” and their first album with Atlantic Records “A/B” reached record sales. The band has played venues around the world including Coachella, Bonnaroo and more.
The music video for “Break My Baby” was filmed on top of Þrídrangar in Iceland. Þrídrangar, which translates to “three rock pillars,” is a beautiful rock formation surrounded by crystal blue Icelandic waters. Þrídrangaviti Lighthouse, sits atop a sliver of rock and contrasts the dark terrain with its whitewashed walls. Þrídrangar is so isolated that it is best reached by helicopter – which is how Kaleo traveled to the spot in their music video!
For their most recent album, Surface Sounds, KALEO sought inspiration in the natural beauty of Iceland and even used some of the ambient sounds found in nature, including birds and waterfalls, in the songs. The upcoming album is sure to highlight the band’s home country and give listeners, no matter where they live, a feel for the Icelandic vibe.
