The award consists of two prizes, one for academic work, received by Páll Björnsson, professor of modern studies at the University of Akureyri, and one for literature, received by Guðrún Eva Mínervudóttir, for her book ‘Allt með kossi vekur’ (“Everything Is Woken with a Kiss”).
