Two Icelandic acts performed at this year’s Bumbershoot in Seattle: Hermigervill, a young upcoming electronic musician, and Young Karin, a duo (including Logi from Retro Stefson) whose sound is influenced by modern day hip hop and avant-garde pop. Both Hermigervill and Young Karin took to the Pavillion Stage on Sunday at Bumbershoot as part of an Iceland Airwaves presentation. Other 2014 Bumbershoot musical performers included Foster the People, J. Cole, Wu-Tang Clan, The Replacements, The Head And The Heart, Elvis Costello and the Imposters, Capital Cities and Neon Trees, to name a few. The unique event also featured stand up and improvised comedy, theatre productions and talks with Tom Robbins, the writers of The Simpsons, Ken Jennings and more.
Despite some rain and patchy clouds at the beginning of the festival, the shows rocked. By Monday, the sun was shining, temperatures were mild and crowds streamed into Seattle Center, according to the Seattle Times.
