Now it’s time to start gearing up for Iceland Airwaves ’11, which takes place in good old Reykjavík October 12-16. We now have the pleasure to announce the first bands.
They’ve been called the saviours of British guitar music, The Vaccines, will tear it apart at Iceland Airwaves this year. Brooklyn’s Liturgy are sure to do no less with their transcendental Black Metal. The German teenagers from Sizarr will take some time off from school to lend their modern Electronica soundscapes to our ears. On the Icelandic front we proudly present the winners of the Icelandic Battle of the Bands 2010, Of Monsters and Men, energetic Indie Rockers Who Knew, and the super tight Crab-Core Endless Dark.
