Iceland Naturally cordially invites you to attend the grand opening cocktail reception of the acclaimed art exhibit “Fabulous Iceland: From Sagas to Novels – Portraits of Contemporary Icelandic Authors” on Friday, March 8 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Revere Hotel Boston Common. Guests are invited to mingle, enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and view the “Fabulous Iceland” exhibit in the hotel’s sixth floor gallery.
Experience Boston’s first look at the compelling literary history of Iceland. Through a series of interviews, Icelandic journalist Petur Blondal asked 23 contemporary Icelandic authors to describe their relationships with Icelandic literary traditions and the influence these traditions have on their work. The result is an Icelandic literary history, distilled into individual short stories and coupled with portraits taken by photographer Kristinn Ingvarsson.
Admission to the grand opening night of “Fabulous Iceland” is free of charge and open to the public. Following the grand opening night, the exhibit will then be hosted in the Lobby of the Revere Hotel through Sunday, March 31, 2013 and open daily to the public.
The “Fabulous Iceland” exhibit is presented during A Taste of Iceland, a celebration of Icelandic culture, cuisine and entertainment in Boston March 8 – 12. Click here for more information about A Taste of Iceland in Boston.
