Experience North Iceland through an Icelander’s Eyes

Tag along as some of the best Icelandic photographers venture into Iceland’s natural landscapes.

Take a virtual trip through North Iceland through the lens of Iceland’s best photographers with the new video series, “Through an Icelander’s Eyes.” Hosts Guðmann and Gyða have been photographing Iceland for years and their work has been widely showcased both in Iceland and abroad. With a specialty in wildlife and landscape photography, the pair are now inviting their followers on Youtube to “tag-along” with them on their ventures into nature!

A perfect getaway from your daily routine, this new series offers viewers a unique insight into the life of a photographer, as well as the chance to learn about the best methods for photographing Icelandic nature. In the first episode, “The Crazy Colors of Winter Photography,” the photographers explore the magical colors of an Icelandic winter up close. In the video, Guðmann goes out to a location he has always wanted to shoot in winter. The vivid colors of the sky promise some awesome photos, with blue, yellow, gold, and even pink blending together against the white snow.

New videos will be updated on Visit North Iceland’s website every other week. Be sure to check out Guðmann and Gyða’s YouTube channel here.
