As the Icelandic culinary scene continues to flourish, many restaurants are featuring the delicacy of Icelandic Lamb on their menus, ranging from traditional preparation to modern multicultural-inspired dishes. Each year, the Icelandic Lamb Marketing Board recognizes the outstanding serving and presentation of Icelandic Lamb with its Award of Excellence. The award’s purpose is to honor and motivate the recipients, while also guiding diners to exceptional restaurants! 
In choosing the winners, an independent panel of expert judges considers various factors ranging from innovation in serving to the diner’s experience. To celebrate Iceland’s culinary diversity, the award is presented in three categories: Fine Dining, Bistro, and Casual Dining. This year’s honorees had the special opportunity to receive their award from the first lady of Iceland, Eliza Reid!
