Andri Snær Magnason’s The Casket of Time is Released in the US!

His latest book is “a fantastical Icelandic adventure of kids saving the world.”

The newest work from celebrated Icelandic author Andri Snær Magnason has hit the United States! The Casket of Time, published by Restless Books in New York City, was released Tuesday, April 9th. The Casket of Time is an enthralling tale and a captivating adventure centered around the environmental troubles of today’s world. Having also authored the acclaimed works Dreamland: A Self Help Manual for a Frightened Nation and The Story of the Blue Planet, Magnason’s third sci-fi book of this fantastical nature brings to light the dangers humans are posing to the world’s natural beauty, woven into a poetic narrative that will fascinate readers of all ages. Using Iceland’s iconic nature and landscape as the backdrop for the story, Magnason’s latest work is sure to impress.

This May, there will be several opportunities to hear Andri speak about The Casket of Time: he will be speaking at the Water Bar & Public Studio during Taste of Iceland in Minneapolis on May 3rd, the Wild Rumpus Bookstore on May 4th, and Taste of Iceland’s Target Performance Hall at Open Book literary event with Rain Taxi in Minneapolis on May 5th. He will wrap up his tour with the highly anticipated Future of Time event at the Scandinavia House in NYC on May 7th, where he will be leading a discussion with world-renowned architect Bjarke Ingels on time and how to give shape to the future.
