Bonjour! Icelandair, Iceland’s leading airline, recently announced expanded service to Paris’ Orly Airport. Now, you can choose between Charles de Gaulle or Orly for your Parisian adventures. Service begins on March 28, 2016, so book your flight today! This summer, Icelandair will operate 23 weekly flights to Paris, including 17 to Charles de Gaulle and up to 6 times a week to Orly.
Located just eight miles south of the city, the passenger-friendly Orly Airport brings visitors closer to many of Paris’ major tourist attractions, including the Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde and Notre Dame. Orly also has access to two RER high-speed metro train lines with improved access to their stations from the airport’s two terminals.
“Orly is a very desirable airport with great connections throughout France and Europe, and a natural fit for North American and European travelers looking for additional options to and from Paris and southern France. We are excited about this new opportunity that will better serve our passengers and further strengthen our global network“, says Birkir Holm Gudnason, Icelandair CEO.
Orly Airport will be Icelandair‘s 27th European destination, in addition to their 16 North American gateways. It is the fourth new airport this year alongside Aberdeen, Chicago and Montreal.
Not only is Icelandair expanding their international hubs, they’re increasing Wi-Fi capabilities too! Icelandair and Global Eagle Entertainment recently announced the introduction of gate-to-gate Wi-Fi connectivity on the airline’s full fleet of aircraft. Passengers flying on Icelandair-operated flights between North America and Europe can now connect to the internet from jetway to jetway. What’s even cooler? Icelandair is the first European airline to offer this service.
Take advantage of Icelandair’s exciting new offerings and book your Icelandic dream vacation today!
