Iceland is known for its rich literary tradition, and for the past three years, the Iceland Writers Retreat has inspired writers from around the world with the country’s beauty and history. For its fourth annual retreat, to be held in April 2017, Iceland Writers Retreat is offering one lucky writer a free spot at the event! The writer will be chosen based on their answer to the prompt “Iceland – Regard the Moon!” Authors are asked to draw comparisons between Iceland and the moon and will be judged based on creativity, originality and style. Iceland Writers Retreat is also seeking nominations for its second annual Alumni Award. The award offers talented writers in need of financial support an opportunity to attend the annual retreat in Reykjavík. Candidates can apply for full or partial funding of their trip. The deadline for submission is October 31, 2016 at Midnight PST.
