Highlighting both internationally established artists as well as artists who are on the rise, Live from Reykjavík will be one of the biggest-ever virtual celebrations of Icelandic talent for the world to see. Festival director, Íselifur Pórhallson said it is a unique moment to have so many artists in Iceland at the same time. The festival aims to seize this opportunity to shine a spotlight on Icelandic talent, as well as support the industry. The line up reflects the creativity, dynamism and diversity in Iceland’s music scene.
Viewers near and far can look forward to an intimate performance by Of Monsters and Men, songs from Ólafur Arnalds’ upcoming album, sax and synth-heavy tracks from pop trio Vök, and more. The performances will take place at Airwaves venues throughout Reykjavík, including Iðnó, Gamla Bío, and Art Museum Reykjavík.
To celebrate this unique moment around the world, the performances will stream from 7:30pm GMT and then across optimized time zones at 7:30pm ET and PT.
Tickets can be purchased through Dice. Ticket options include:
- 2-day pass for both days ($50)
- 1-day pass for Friday or Saturday ($40)
- Standalone shows: Ásgeir, Ólafur Arnalds, Daði Freyr
