Taste of Iceland returns to Toronto November 12-15 to celebrate various aspects of Icelandic culture for the fifth time. Attendees will have the chance to experience authentic Icelandic cuisine at Luma, enjoy the free Reykjavik Calling concert at Adelaide Hall and more during this four-day festival. Icelandic Menu at Luma | Thursday, November 12-Saturday, November 14
Ylfa Helgadóttir, chef de cuisine and owner of Kopar, will fly to Toronto to collaborate with local chefs Michael Wilson and Anthony Walsh at Luma. Ylfa has won numerous awards for her cooking and is part of Iceland’s national team of chefs. Chef Wilson applies his impressive experience, creative techniques and passion for innovation in the kitchen as the Chef de Cuisine at Luma, and Chef Walsh relies on the vast Canadian landscape to create inspired regional Canadian cuisine. Join Luma bar manager Sara Kuz as she mixes up some unique, Icelandic-inspired cocktails!

Reykjavik Calling | Saturday, November 14
Reykjavik Calling, a free, open-to-the-public concert showcasing two Icelandic acts alongside a local Toronto band and DJ, comes to Adelaide Hall on Nov. 14. Presented by Indie88, this year’s lineup features Icelandic bands Samaris and Airplane and Spaceship and Toronto artists Prince Innocence and RALPH. Admission to the concert will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Must be 19+.

Icelandic Film Festival at The Royal Cinema | Sunday, November 15
Join Iceland Naturally for an Icelandic Film Festival at The Royal Cinema on Nov. 15. Presented by the Reykjavik Shorts & Docs Festival, this free event is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis and will conclude with a Q&A session with Halla Kristín Einarsdóttir, director of Women in Red Stockings.

An Evening in Iceland | Sunday, November 15
On Sunday, Nov. 15, Luma will host An Evening in Iceland, an interactive event showcasing the best Icelandic cuisine. Join chefs Helgadóttir, Wilson and Walsh for a meet and greet cocktail reception followed by a four-course tasting menu. Chefs will walk guests through the menu while they dine at communal tables and are treated to musical performances by Jófríður Ákadóttir of Samaris throughout the night. 19+ to enter.
