Þóra Hjörleifsdóttir is Icelandic writer born in 1986. She has published three books of poetry with her poetry collective Impostor Poets, or “Svikaskáld,” and her first novel Magma, or “Kvika,” was published in Iceland, 2019 with critical and commercial claim.
Magma is a poetic novel about love in the 21st century and how pornography and abuse have been normalized in intimate relationships. Magma has been picked up by Grove Atlantic in USA and Picador in the UK and the English translation will be published later this year.
