Iceland’s Thriving Design and Architectural Scene at the The Spoke Club

This year at Taste of Iceland in Toronto, the Iceland Design Center presents “Iceland’s Thriving Design and Architectural Scene.” Join Halla Helgadóttir, Managing Director of the Iceland Design Centre, and Jeremy Vandermeij, co-founder and Executive Director of DesignTO (formerly the Toronto Design Offsite Festival), for a discussion on design and architecture in Iceland and Canada. Following the discussion attendees are invited to participate in a Q&A. This free event will look at how the designer-driven communities in Iceland and Toronto have enabled both communities to flourish. The Iceland Design Center and DesignMarch has enabled Icelandic design and architecture to emerge on the scene and take its place in the world. DesignMarch is Iceland’s most important annual design festival covering all fields from fashion to furniture, architecture to food design, graphic and product design. The discussion and Q&A will be moderated by Tory Healy, Editor in Chief of Designlines Magazine.
