TOI Toronto: Shortfish Film Screening

The Icelandic film industry’s premier festival, Stockfish, is screening its short film program on  November 12 at the Royal Cinema as part of the Taste of Iceland in Toronto festival. The short film division of the Stockfish festival, aptly dubbed Shortfish, focuses on highlighting up-and-coming Icelandic filmmakers. The Shortfish screening at the Royal Cinema will feature six short films, including Shortfish 2016 winner “Like it’s up to you” from director Brynhildur Þórarinsdóttir. Admission to the screening is free and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. The program will run for approximately 75 minutes. There are no age restrictions on these films, but they are not recommended for children. Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis, so come early!

Following the screening, a short Q&A will be held with Svava Lóa Stefánsdóttir, program director of the Stockfish Film Festival, where the audience will have the opportunity to learn more about the film and the director’s inspiration.
