Taste of Iceland in Seattle: Icelandic Menu

Icelandic chef Viktor Örn Andrésson, one of Iceland’s most prestigious culinary experts, will fly to Seattle to collaborate with American Chef Dezi Bonow. Together, the two will create a delicious, four-course prix fixe Icelandic dinner menu at The Carlile Room. Viktor Örn Andrésson was named Iceland Chef of the Year and led the Icelandic National Culinary Team to a bronze medal at this year’s Bocuse d’Or 2017 Finale! U.S.-based Chef Dezi Bonow started as a pantry cook at Dahlia Lounge in 2003 and worked his way up to become Sous Chef under Chefs Mark Fuller, Brian Walczyk, and Brock Johnson three years later. In early 2011, he was then promoted to Chef of Palace Kitchen. In 2015, Dezi left Palace Kitchen to take the helm as Chef of the Carlile Room.

No meal is complete without a tasty cocktail! Brennivin’s 2015 cocktail champion, Kári Sigurðsson, will also make the flight from Iceland to create unique cocktails alongside Minnesota-native Jake Sipes of The Carlile Room. Guests can opt for beverage pairings for $35, or order their beverages a la carte. The custom cocktails will feature Iceland’s favorite vodkas, Reyka Vodka and Brennivin, and pair perfectly with the cuisine of the evening.
