Watch Icelandic Snowboarder Rúnar Pétur take on Austurland in Fjörd Lines!

The upcoming Fjörd Lines documentary follows Rúnar Pétur as he conquers the slopes and fjörds of Austurland.

Are you ready for some entertainment that will have you on the edge of your seat? This November, the movie Fjörd Lines will premiere at the Freeride Film Festival. The documentary film follows Icelandic snowboarder Rúnar Pétur on his journey across the tricky, unpredictable slopes and fjörds of Austurland, Iceland.

Fjörd Lines is the result of a passion project between Rúnar and filmmaker Víðir Björnsson. For years, Pétur has dreamt of filming his local lines around the small Icelandic fishing village of Neskaupstaður and sharing the experience with the world. In 2014, Björnsson quit his day job to pursue his passion for creative endeavors and the outdoors. The pair came together to showcase Iceland’s stunning landscapes and Pétur’s authentic style of snowboarding.

The movie was filmed during one of the harshest winters in Iceland that brought wild conditions and unforgiving wind. Even one mistake on the slopes could have resulted in major injury for Pétur. In addition to the challenging terrain, the team often climbed for hours to reach the slopes that Pétur eventually conquered. Despite challenges and harsh conditions, Rúnar and Björnsson were determined to produce this film and share their appreciation for Iceland’s natural beauty with the world.

Are you ready to experience incredible views and a thrilling journey? The Fjörd Lines trailer is out now!
