Reykjavik will host the popular TED conference this summer on June 3, 2013 at the Arior Bank’s headquarters for the third time. Iceland also played host to the TED conference in 2011 and 2009.
TED is a nonprofit that is devoted to the message “ideas worth spreading.” Additionally, TED aims to bring together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers from technology, entertainment and design disciplines. These interesting individuals are given the challenge of delivering the “talk of their lives” in 18 minutes or less.
TEDx – the event featured in Iceland this summer – is designed to provide communities, organizations and individuals with the opportunity to spark dialogue through TED-like experiences at a more local level.
The final speakers confirmed for the 2013 Iceland TED conference are: handicraft designer Sigga Heimis, Ossur founder Ossur Kristinsson and lastly, Senior Producer of EVE Online at CCP Games Andie Nordgen.
