Sigur Rós to Headline Iceland Airwaves

Sigur Ros have been announced as the headliners of this year’s Iceland Airwaves, playing the festival for the first time in 11 years.

In their first hometown show for four years, the band will close the festival with a performance at the new Laugardalshöll Arena on Sunday November 4. With a spectactular expanded 11-piece line-up, the band will play material from across their entire catalogue, including their upcoming sixth studio album, ‘Valtari’. 

Tickets for this special performance go on sale on Wednesday May 16 at 12 noon GMT via midi.is, and they are available at the special low price of 3,900 ISK to anyone holding an Iceland Airwaves ticket, on a single-ticket, first-come-first-served basis until June 16.
