Rock Band Jeff Who? Kicks off U.S. Celebration of the World’s Best Vodka in New York’s Coolest Borough

Iceland’s small batch Reyka Vodka launched its month-long celebration of its recent win of the prestigious Vodka Trophy at the annual International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) today in Brooklyn, NY.   Icelandic rock band Jeff Who? was warmly welcomed by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz at a special presentation at Borough Hall. The popular band made Brooklyn its first stop as they begin their performance tour as part of the Iceland Wants to Buy You a Drink campaign, presented by Reyka.

Hailing from a country that’s known for distinctive creativity and hipness, it’s only appropriate the band kick off their stateside shows with a visit to the ‘coolest city in America’—Brooklyn.  Recognized for having the most diverse culture, music and restaurants, Brooklyn was at the top of Jeff Who?’s list of places they had to see and experience before their performances in Manhattan and Chicago.

“We could not be more excited to have Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz welcome us with such warmth and hospitality as we start our U.S. tour celebrating Reyka’s IWSC win,” said Baddi, lead singer of Jeff Who?.

Today’s welcoming event took place outside Borough Hall and included the presentation of a “Best of Iceland – Reyka Vodka Celebration Day” proclamation to the members of Jeff Who?.  Following their afternoon in Brooklyn, the band headed to prepare for an evening to celebrate Reyka through ‘Iceland Wants to Buy You a Drink’.  The celebrations will continue throughout the month, including another performance in Chicago on December 6th.
