Reykjavik Children’s Culture Festival 2013

Launched in 2010, the popular Reykjavik Children’s Culture Festival is a week-long arts and culture festival dedicated to children and youth up to age 16. This year, the annual festival takes place April 23-28.

Striving to introduce youth to a wide range of arts disciplines through the medium of workshops and performances, the festival emphasizes participation. Children are encouraged to take part in a wide variety of activities, including theatre workshops, circuses, visual arts, storytelling, music, film, puppetry, creative sustainability and dance activities.

Reaching all corners of Reykjavik city, the festival program includes more than 150 performances, workshops, exhibitions, tangible experiences and special events led by experienced professional practitioners, artists and others working with children.
