Are you in a band or know someone who is? Reyka Vodka is offering a chance for two American bands to perform at Iceland Airwaves Music Festival this coming fall, October 31 through November 4.
Iceland Airwaves is a 4-day music festival held every year in Reykjavik since 1999. It’s become one of the premier annual showcases for new music in Iceland and in the world. Artists such as The Shins, Florence and the Machine, Fat Boy Slim, Sigur Ros, Bjork, and Of Monsters and Men have all performed on the Iceland Airwaves stage.
To enter, bands must submit three original tracks, photos, and a biography to www.reyka.com. The contest opens June 20th and will run through August 1st. After the entry period, two bands will be selected by Iceland Airwaves to perform at the music festival. Then, on the Reyka website, the public will vote for one of the bands to earn the chance to send 2 superfans and their friends to Iceland Airwaves. The band with the most votes will then select two lucky voters at random to win an all expenses paid trip to Iceland Airwaves for them and a friend.
The prize package includes a performance at Iceland Airwaves and off-venue gigs, featured airplay on Icelandic radio, access to Iceland Airwaves performances, a tour of the Golden Circle, access to parties and events at Reykjavik’s hottest clubs and bars, and airfare and hotel accommodations for one week!
