My biggest regret after first visiting Iceland in 2017 was touring for only four days with no camera equipment. When I returned to Iceland this year, I wanted to change that!

My friend Chris and I had been travelling on the Stand Up Paddleboard race circuit in Europe and we talked about Iceland and how incredible it would be to travel there with inflatable boards. That set the gears in motion to make our dream become a reality. I managed to convince Chris and another friend to change their plans; instead of spending more time in our current location in London, we took off to Iceland.

We jetted off to tour the Ring Road for nine days. This time, we were prepared with all the equipment! We rolled up the inflatable boards, packed our drones and cameras, booked a rental car, purchased some really cheap, easy to assemble tents, collected 30kg of Saturo food drinks/energy bars and hit the road. I have traveled the world paddling, but this was by far the best trip I have ever been on. We saw the most amazing sights including waterfalls, icebergs, and hot springs. I have never been anywhere so diverse with such incredible scenery. My new biggest regret is leaving after a mere nine days and not spending more time in the amazing country.

Iceland, I hope to see you soon – watch out 2019!
