New Gateway and Updates from Icelandair!

The airline recently announced lighter fare options and the addition of Dublin to its flight network.

Exciting things are coming from Icelandair, including lower prices, more fare options and a new gateway opening in Dublin! Now it’s easier to fly to more destinations than ever before at flexible options to enhance your travel experience.

On October 4, Icelandair released a brand new fare level, Economy Light, which gives rewards to passengers who choose to travel with less baggage. These passengers will still be able to enjoy all of Icelandair’s amenities and quality of service, including in-flight entertainment; non-alcoholic beverages; gate-to-gate wi-fi access;comfortable, spacious seats and more. Economy Light passengers will still be able to pre-select their seats in the same Economy Cabin as other passengers, with an allowance of up to 10kg (22lbs) of carry-on luggage included.

“We are making some progressive changes in our service and among those is Economy Light. This option is designed for travellers taking a short weekend getaway or a quick business trip abroad. The new fare is also perfect when traveling with family members who don’t require additional luggage such as children or couples who can pack together,” said Guðmundur Óskarsson, SVP of Sales & Marketing.

Icelandair also recently announced its latest gateway opening: Dublin, Ireland! Starting May 8, 2018, Icelandair will commence its year-round service to Ireland’s capital city. The non-stop flights with operate six days a week with connections from 20 gateways in North America.
