My bubba Performs on NPR’s Tiny Desk

The Swedish-Icelandic duo charms audiences with their sweet sounds.

They’ve been described by music photographer Amos Perrine as “their generation’s Simon and Garfunkel;” their performances are “sultry,” “rustic,” “modern” and even “magical.” My bubba, a duo made up of Swedish “My” and Icelandic “bubba,” are a dynamic pair that mix Scandinavian folk soul with American influences.

Recently the pair has been featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk. Tiny Desk Concerts are intimate live video performances, recorded at the desk of All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen. A wide variety of underground music is showcased; but My bubba’s sweet but strange folk sound accompanied by intricate harmonies and gentle instrumentation is truly something special. My Bubba’s newest album, Goes Abroader, is available now on their website.
