Mumford & Sons Headline This Year’s Iceland Airwaves Festival!

The hit band joins a lineup featuring Fleet Foxes, Àsgeir, Billy Bragg, and more!

Iceland Airwaves, an annual 5-day music festival held in Reykjavík, Iceland, announced Mumford & Sons as their Sunday night headliners!

The Iceland Airwaves festival is unlike any in the world, bringing together an eclectic mix of superb international talent. Now in its 19th year, the festival will also expand to a second site in Akureyri, North Iceland for the first time ever. The event will span from November 1st – November 5th (so you’ll have plenty of time to hit both sites!)

Originally a one-off performance in Reykjavík Airport airplane hangar, the event grew to become “the hippest long weekend on the annual music-festival calendar” (according to Rolling Stone), and has been thrilling audiences for nearly two decades.

This year’s lineup promises one of the best shows yet, with Grammy Award winners and nominees taking the stage. Closing out the show with an exciting Sunday night performance will be two-time Grammy winners, Mumford & Sons. Their performance will follow an impressive weekend lineup of artists including Sigrid, Michael Kiwanuka and Songhoy Blues, Fleet Foxes, Àsgeir, Billy Bragg, Emiliana Torrini, Mammút and much more! You can check out the full list of performers here.

500 tickets to see Mumford & Sons will go on sale Tuesday, July 25th at 6am EST at tix.is; the remainder will be available to Iceland Airwaves ticket holders at the festival Media Center at 5pm on November 4th.
