More Artists Announced for Iceland Airwaves!

The folks at Iceland Airwaves are ready to announce 30 additions to the already exciting 2012 line-up.

The experimental rock group Dirty Projectors (US), British guitar rockers, The Vaccines, and one of Spencer Krug’s (of Wolf Parade) exciting new projects; Moonface with Finnish kraut-rockers Siinai. From Canada Iceland Airwaves brings future pop pair Purity Ring, electro-sonic trio Doldrums and attested buzz band Half Moon Run, who tore it apart at the Great Escape showcase in May. Girlish pop songstresses BOY (DE), exhibitionist pop duo Me and My Drummer (DE), audioscaper Rangleklods (DK), Estonian folk-rockstars Ewert and the Two Dragons and fresh indie-rock/pop trio Nelson Can from Denmark are also slated to perform at the famed music festival.

Iceland Airwaves proudly presents the breakout indie-folk songsmiths Of Monsters and Men, who have seen amazing success since they first performed at Iceland Airwaves in 2010. There’s more of their fellow countrymen that add to the line up: electro pop outfit and professional partystarters FM Belfast, metalheads Sólstafir, the neo-classical whiz Ólafur Arnalds, the sweeping Agent Fresco, musicians of robust pop Valdimar, established rockers Leaves, tough grit-rockers Brain Police and energetic rock quintet Mammút. But wait, there’s more! Post-hardcore scenesters Endless Dark, folk-pop newcomers Tilbury, the progtastic Caterpillarmen, Ampop monkier Biggi Hilmars, self described freak pop project Just Another Snake Cult, rambunctious electro poppers Kiriyama Family, stirring rock ensemble Hudson Wayne, loaded-rock group The Heavy Experience, songsters of folk 1860 and sister act mavericks SíSý Ey.
