KEXP in Seattle is known to showcase some of the best Nordic music, both old and new. The local radio station, along with their renowned DJ Kevin Cole, attend Iceland Airwaves where they broadcast live from the festival. Kevin Cole recently put together a playlist featuring his favorite Nordic songs, including tracks from Icelandic artists including Sigur Rós, Sóley and Samaris.
The Nordic Playlist features collections of songs hand-picked by special curators including influential musicians and tastemakers. Since the site’s launch in January 2014, over 90 artists have contributed playlists of their favorite songs from artists originating in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, the Faroe Islands, Åland and Greenland.
