Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon Races Into Iceland on August 18

Does running a marathon give you the ultimate runner’s high? If the answer is yes, then make sure to sign up for the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon on August 18, 2012! Whether this will be your first marathon or your thirtieth, there is no doubt that it will create lifelong memories.

Even if you are not a marathoner but still enjoy running, there are also races for every level so this can truly be an event for the whole family. The morning will begin with the full marathon, half marathon, and relay race. Next up is the 10K, followed by the 5K. One of the best parts about this event is that they offer a “Lazy Town Fun Run” for children under the age of 8 who want to be involved. Parents are allowed to run next to their children but would not be registered for the race so the kids experience finishing the race for themselves.

Additionally, every year the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon is held on Culture Day and festivities take place across the city. So after celebrating the runners’ accomplishments, join in on all-night activities across the city! For more information on the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon, click here.
