LastaShop.com, an Icelandic, luxury, e-commerce website recently opened the doors to its first ever public showroom in sunny Culver City, California. Located just outside Los Angeles, the new store brings Californians many Icelandic brands that were previously unavailable outside of Iceland.
CEO Helga Olafsson says that LastaShop’s goal is to source and support the best in Icelandic fashion and design: “We give talented designers a global storefront, and also support designers by providing local services to help produce their lines. We want to ensure that Icelandic artists and aesthetics are here to stay, and are set up to succeed.”
The new showroom shares an office space with Icelandic Glacial, Iceland’s award winning, super-premium natural spring water. Fashion lines available from LastaShop include: Mundi, Absence of Colour, Eyglo, Helicopter, Helga Solrun, Rakel Blom, and Kali — the namesake collection by Svala Kali, lead singer in the popular Icelandic synth-pop group, Steed Lord.
Southern California residents and visitors can stop by the store located at 3816 Main Street, Culver City, California, 90232. The LastaShop Showroom is open to the public most days Tuesday through Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. If you can’t make it to the brick and mortar showroom, you can shop Lasta’s abundant online store here.
