Icelandic Glacial Is the Official Water Sponsor of the Golden Globes!

The world’s first certified carbon neutral bottled water will hit the red carpet on Sunday, January 5, 2020.

Icelandic Glacial recently announced that it will take center stage as the official water sponsor of the 77th annual Golden Globe Awards, a historic Hollywood-based program devoted to celebrating excellence in film and television. Icelandic Glacial’s award-winning sparkling water is lightly carbonated with a naturally low mineral content and a clean, crisp finish which will refresh guests both on the red carpet and during the televised ceremony.

“We are proud to be an environmentally conscious partner of the Golden Globes,” said Icelandic Glacial’s chairman and co-founder, Jon Olafsson. “We pride ourselves on our outstanding achievement of being the world’s first certified carbon neutral bottled water for the past 10 years and look forward to sharing the purest tasting water on Earth with Hollywood’s finest.”

Icelandic Glacial will be served in its glass bottles with paper straws and will be given to guests upon arrival, presented on every table at the ceremony, and offered exclusively at all of the Golden Globes events leading up to the event. Branded coolers packed with glass bottles of Icelandic Glacial will also be available on the red carpet and at the hotel throughout the night.

As a part of this sponsorship, Icelandic Glacial will also donate water to a humanitarian cause of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s choice. While this is Icelandic Glacial’s first time on the red carpet, water donation is nothing new to this company. Icelandic Glacial was one of the first major companies to send water in relief efforts to Puerto Rico and Flint, Michigan in 2016 and Haiti in 2010.

Tune in to Icelandic Glacial’s Golden Globes debut on Sunday, January 5, 2020, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC. Are you planning to watch Icelandic Glacial take the silver screen? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter!
