March 25th was a big day for Cuba. For the first time since the band’s formation in 1962, the Rolling Stones played in Havana – and they brought Icelandic Glacial with them. Mick Jagger and his band mates, along with concert-goers, enjoyed bottles of the premium Icelandic water, making it the first non-Cuban water to be imported into the country.
“It’s a really exciting cooperation, the band will drink our water, everyone back stage and everyone going to the concert. It’s also the first time that foreign water is available in Cuba,” says CEO of Icelandic Glacial Jón Ólafsson.
Ölfus Spring, formed more than 5,000 years ago, is the source of Icelandic Glacial water. Protected by lava rock, the spring is replenished naturally by rain and snow melt.
