Icelandic Fish Store Opens in New Jersey

The new store, “The Fish Dock,” serves fresh fish straight from the shores of Iceland!

Iceland may seem far away, but at The Fish Dock they promise all of the fish that they serve has been caught in the last 48 hours. In those two days, fish caught in the pristine waters off of the shores of Iceland are flown right to the tables of The Fish Dock, a new fish market that recently opened in Closter, New Jersey. Now New Jerseyans can taste Iceland’s world-renowned seafood without having to book a flight for dinner time!

The Fish Dock’s specialization is in fish from Iceland, and they have a variety of offerings from their native land. The store has Icelandic halibut, salmon, Arctic char, cod, haddock, blue ling, ling, monkfish, wolffish, European plaice, shrimp, and lemon sole. As for Wild Gulf Shrimp, dry scallops and mussels, The Fish Dock sources locally. For exquisite flavor, the shop also has a plethora of marinades to choose from, including mediterranean and smoked jalapeno and tequila. The Fish Dock has different lunch specials every day, with past dishes including fish burritos, kebabs, and jumbo shrimp scampi over spaghetti. You’ll find no frozen fish sticks here – The Fish Dock is serious about making great Icelandic seafood for their customers!
