“2014 will be a big year for Icelandair,” said Thorsteinn Egilsson, General Manager of The Americas at Icelandair. The Icelandic airline’s 2014 schedule is the largest in it’s history.
Beginning in June 2014, Icelandair’s flights from Denver increase to seven days a week. Service from its new gateway in Edmonton, Canada, is also scheduled to increase, enabling travel year round.
“Due to the demand for international carriers from Edmonton and the positive response Icelandair has received, we think it makes sense to operate year-round… We see this as the beginning of a strong relationship with Alberta and anticipate Edmonton strengthening our bond with the Canadian market,” said Thorsteinn Egilsson.
