Icelandair Announces Flights to Birmingham, England

 

Icelandair is happy to announce scheduled flights to Birmingham, England beginning February 5, 2015. This new service opens up a convenient option for passengers traveling to the United Kingdom, marking Icelandair’s fifth destination in Great Britain, and 25th in Europe!

Flights to Birmingham Airport  will depart twice a week from Keflavik International Airport at 7:50am, with arrival in Birmingham at 10:25am. Return service departs Birmingham at 12:25pm, with arrival at Keflavik at 3:10pm. With easy connections via Keflavik and a convenient mid-morning arrival into Birmingham Airport, passengers traveling from North America will now have one of the quickest elapsed flight times to the British Midlands region. Rich in history and natural beauty, the Birmingham area offers everything, from the English countryside, including Shakespeare’s home at Stratford-upon-Avon, to convenient access to central & eastern Wales.

Icelandair offers service to Iceland from Boston, New York-JFK, Washington, D.C., Seattle, Denver and Toronto, with seasonal service from Newark, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Orlando Sanford, Edmonton, Vancouver, Halifax, and Anchorage. Connections through Icelandair’s hub at Keflavik International Airport are available to more than 20 destinations in Scandinavia, the U.K. and Continental Europe. Only Icelandair allows passengers to stopover in Iceland for up to seven days at no additional airfare.
