Is Iceland the Most Wonderful Country to Ever Exist?

The Huffington Post has been showing lots of Iceland love lately! In the last few months they published articles on Iceland’s Seljalandsfoss waterfall, a stunning proposal that took place in an Icelandic ice cave, and included Hvitserkur, Gulfoss and Icelandic ice caves in an article titled 12 Breathtaking Places You’ve Probably Never Heard Of. Most recently The Huffington Post published an article filled with “27 Reasons Why Iceland is the Most Wonderful Country to Ever Exist.”

Some reasons include popular Icelandic tourist attractions like Blue Lagoon, where naturally heated 100 degree water will “heal your soul”, and Iceland’s many beautiful waterfalls, geysers and stunning glaciers. The Huffington Post also highlights Iceland’s natural wildlife, including puffins and whales, and even the country’s more mystical creatures like elves and even aliens.

In Iceland you can stand within a waterfall, go inside a volcano, and swim between two continents, not to mention see a spectacular view of  the northern lights in the winter, or enjoy the sun 24 hours a day in the summer. Need another reason to love the land of ice and fire? No one leaves voice mail in Iceland. According to the Huffington Post, many locals say they’ve never received or left a voice mail in their lives.

Last but not least, the article calls out Iceland’s “stellar” fish soup and famous lamb hot dogs, complete with sweet mustard, ketchup, raw onions, deep fried onions and remoulade. Yum!
